Tropical Hurricane Map : Know about Irene, Katia, Lee etc
As you all know by this time, Hurricane Irene caused a devastating effect on daily life etc on the East Coast of America. But, it’ll be of great help if we can track the progress of tropical hurricanes like Irene just from a mobile phone or smart phone. Though there are many websites and mobile apps to see into this phenomenon and get alerted in time, one website stands from the rest. That is, www.wunderground.com.
The website clearly display tropical hurricane maps, so you can easily visualize what is happening or what’ll happen in your area? This website, www.wunderground.com has several tabs like Local Weather, Maps & Radar, Severe Weather etc. But if you want to know about tropical hurricane weather and it’s progress, click on the drop-down arrow next to Severe Weather and click on Tropical & Hurricane.
As you click on it, you’ll be immediately taken to a new page showing the current activity in tropical weather & hurricanes by displaying the global sea surface temperatures.
As you can see at this time, it says that the active tropical storms are 4 across the world. There are also other tabs which display information about the Atlantic, Pacific and the Indian ocean. On clicking North Atlantic for e.g, it’ll display the Northern Atlantic Sea Surface temperatures. It’ll also display any hurricanes or tropical storms. For eg. for now, it displays the wind speed, location and movement of Hurricane Katia and Tropical Depression Lee (Td Lee).
