    Eric…

The Galaxy tab you are talking about is the 10.1, not the 10.1v, which is coming out sooner with Vodafone.

The Vondafone one is only 16GB internal memory, no microSD card slot or USB. It is still slightly lighter than the iPad2, but also slightly bigger.

When the 10.1 (no v) comes out later in the year, it will have those awesome improvements that you mentioned, and a less mp camera (but I assume that was so it could be made lighter again).

Still, the 10.1v is well worth it for Android lovers who can’t wait for the 10.1 to be released!!

@Mel: Thanks for the correction. I’ll update the changes very soon.

I don’t agree that the Apple OS is a win over Honeycomb. Also the specs on the Galaxy are “Size: 256.6 by 172.9 by 8.6mm, 595g” So it is larger thinner and lighter then the iPad. Also under expandable memory the Galaxy has a “microSD memory slot”. The Camera has dropped from 8mp to 3.2mp. Still better but disappointing to see its gone. The iPad has “assisted GPS” compared to the Galaxys Turn by turn GPS. The iPad supports 3g while the Galaxy supports 3g and 4g. The galaxy also has use of a USB port while the iPad only has one for docking.

I Think this comparison is a clear winner in the Galaxys favor.

With that said the only possible wins the iPad can have is the type of lighting the screen has with a lower resolution, The Application store and the ability to add an HDMI port. And just to make the memory clear the iPad has 64gb and the Galaxy has 32gb and can add a 32gb MicroSD making them equal in size.

PS The Galaxy supports Flash and the iPad does not Lol

Sorry to write again but I rechecked info and the Galaxy has a 64gb model. So add the 32gb micro SD and its 96gb which is larger. Another win :D

Personally I think that they Galaxy Tab 10.1 looks better than the iPad 2. I mean who wouldn’t love that huge screen? It is amazing! Sure it comes short in a few things, but it is still a winner to me. After I get my Galaxy Tab, I am going to download the DISH Remote Access app. Using this app and the 722k receiver with a Sling Adapter, I can stream live TV and my recordings to my tablet. As a customer and employee of DISH Network, I can say that this app will look beautiful on the Galaxy Tab! I am so excited to get one, I can hardly wait!
