IE, Firefox, Opera ! Change your default search engine

I was reading lately about Bing! and other Microsoft law suite related articles, and I came to know that many people search their default search engine, through the search box provided next to address bar. There was also news, that many people don’t know how to change their default search engine. So here, I am going to tell you how to change the default search engine for different browsers.

IE 8:

2. A new windows will open and you can see Add-on Types on the left.
3. Click on Search Providers. There you can see the search engines or options available.
4. By default when you install IE 8 , it asks for options for what search engines to install. But if you skip that option or you were sleepy, this is the way to change the search engine default option and add new search engines.

2. In the Preferences windows, use the Search pane.
3. In that panel, under manage your search engines, you can see a list of search engines.
4. Click on any search engine and click on Edit. There you will have options to make the search engine of your choice as default. You can also change the speed dial search engine here.
5. As for Opera, you have 2 search boxes. One beside the address bar and the other in the speed dial.

Firefox 3.0.10

I think, in Firefox, is the easiest way to change the default search enine. Just click the search engine from the drop box available on the left side of the search box and thus it becomes your default search engine.firefox IE, Firefox, Opera ! Change your default search engine
Though there are different ways, this is I feel is the easiest way. Also, firefox yet does not provide Bing! in their list of search engines. You just have to add it , by using Manage Search Engines found at the bottom of the search engine list. There you get an option to add Bing using add-on.
